MADRID, 15 (EUROPA PRESS)
The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Oscar Puente, assured this Friday that the road between Madrid and Galicia “is 100% operational”, but, given the proximity of the fires, there is no civil protection permit to provide service, recognizing that it is the first time that a high-speed line has been cut for 3 consecutive days.
"Adif keeps a scanning machine active 24 hours a day to verify the status of the road between Madrid and Galicia. The road is 100% operational. However, due to the proximity of the fires we do not have a civil protection permit to provide the service," the minister indicated through his account on the social network X.
“It is the first time that a high-speed line has been cut for 3 consecutive days,” he added.
In this sense, Renfe warns that "due to the high risk derived from the fires, the train service between Madrid and Galicia continues to be suspended until further authorization", adding that "it is available to restore circulation as soon as the competent authorities give their approval and the infrastructure is prepared to resume the service."
