After completing the required actions, the court determined his immediate transfer to the State Prison. A relevant piece of information provided by the investigation is the total absence of antecedents for domestic violence between the couple or current restriction measures, which makes the outcome even more unexpected for the family environment.

These types of crimes in border areas usually require close coordination between the security forces of both countries, especially due to the ease with which those involved can cross territorial limits. However, in this case, the rapid intervention of the Brazilian police made it possible to effectively close the ring on the suspect.

Challenges for justice on the border

The case once again puts on the table the problem of the use of knives in domestic or neighborhood disputes. Delegate Müller emphasized that the priority now is the recovery of the injured brother to complete the judicial file. It is expected that in the coming weeks additional technical tests will be carried out at the home where the fight occurred. Meanwhile, the accused must await the criminal process under preventive detention, facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
