Salto: Municipality will buy food at the Horticultural Central for its dining rooms

This is where the Departmental Government of Salto set its sights on closing a circuit that, until now, used to be longer and less efficient: buying food for municipal canteens directly from those who produce and sell it in the department.

The confirmation came this week, after a tour of the headquarters' positions. From now on, the chain is shortened: fruits, vegetables and eggs will leave the Horticultural Central to feed the hundreds of Salteños who depend daily on the dining services of the local administration.

The director of Social Development, Facundo Marziotte, walked the corridors of the CHN alongside the delegate of the departmental government in the governance of the central, Martín de Abreu. The intention was clear from the beginning: that the State's numbers feed the home economy.
