MADRID, 16 (EUROPA PRESS)
Hurricane 'Erin', the first of the Atlantic season, has gained strength in recent hours to reach category four on the Saffir Simpson scale and is advancing through the Caribbean with maximum sustained winds of about 215 kilometers per hour.
This is reflected in an alert from the National Hurricane Center (CNH) of the United States, which warned this Saturday of the progress of a “dangerous” cyclone that, in principle, will not make landfall.
It is expected, however, that the outer zone of the hurricane could leave rain in some archipelagos in the area, including the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
