For more than twenty days, the official site of the National Colonization Institute remains inaccessible. The cause: a cyber attack that, according to internal sources, would have been carried out from abroad.

The impact is limited to the web portal, without compromising the institutional database, according to what spokespersons for the organization indicated. The complaint has already been filed with the Prosecutor's Office, which launched an investigation to determine the origin and scope of the incident.
External attack and prolonged site downtime
The hacking would have occurred from outside the country, although those responsible have not yet been identified. The site remains non-functional, affecting public consultation of key information on lands, colonies and allotments.

Prosecutor's Office investigates the incident
The complaint was filed by himself Institute before the Attorney General's Office of the Nation. The case is being analyzed by computer crime specialists, who they seek to trace the point entry and evaluate if there were attempts to violate sensitive data.
No internal data was compromised
Despite the site's downfall, the INC assures that the information stored on its servers was not altered or stolen. The attack would have targeted exclusively the visible layer of the portal, leaving the supporting infrastructure intact.
