In a context of growing inflation, the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) of Argentina has announced the update of the amounts of the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and other social benefits for the month of May 2026. This measure is part of Resolution 111/2026, which responds to the variation in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the previous quarter.
Details of the new AUH amount for May 2026
For the month of May, the ANSES established that the value of the AUH will be 1,285.31 for each child under 18 years of age and 0,044.10 for those with disabilities. This adjustment reflects the quarterly update based on the national inflation index. The AUH is a key component of the Argentine social security system, designed to assist families in economically vulnerable situations.
The benefit is intended for families without formal employment, informal workers whose income is below the minimum wage and social monotributists. To receive it, those responsible must meet requirements such as proving schooling and qualifications. health checks of minors, in accordance with the provisions of Law 24,714 and its complementary regulations.
AUH requirements and accreditation
AUH holders must demonstrate income below the established limits and present the Universal Allocation Booklet annually. This notebook certifies attendance school and controls of minors' health. Once these requirements are met, the amount is automatically credited to the beneficiary's bank account, following the monthly schedule determined by ANSES.
It is important to highlight that the amounts may vary in different regions, such as Patagonia, where the amounts are higher than the general area, which covers most of the Argentine territory.
Other assignments updated by ANSES
In addition to the AUH, ANSES administers other family and social allowances, whose figures were also adjusted in May. The Assignment Relative by Child, for example, has values that vary depending on the income level of the family group and the area of residence. For the general zone, the basic amount is 1,285.31 per child, while for children with disabilities it amounts to 0,044.10.
The Pregnancy Allowance for Social Protection maintains the same value as the AUH, also subject to the new income limits. In the scope of the pension system, the minimum retirement for May 2026 is 3,174.10, to which is added an extraordinary bonus of ,000, resulting in a total of 3,174.10 for those who receive the minimum income.
The Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) reaches 4,539.28, and with the bonus, the total amount is 4,539.28. The Non-Contributory Pensions reach 5,221.87 and, adding the extraordinary reinforcement, the total rises to 5,221.87. The Mother of 7 Children Pension is equivalent to the minimum amount, adding 3,174.10 and the bonus, to total 3,174.10.
AUH payment dates in May 2026
The payment schedule for beneficiaries of the AUH and the Family Allowance per Child is distributed according to the termination of the National Document of Identity (DNI). The collection dates are as follows:
- DNI ending in 0: May 11
- DNI ending in 1: May 12
- DNI ending in 2: May 13
- DNI ending in 3: May 14
- DNI ending in 4: May 15
- DNI ending in 5: May 18
- DNI ending at 6: May 19
