Dr. Now: The present of the doctor from Quilos Mortais at 80 years old

Known worldwide for his role on the reality show Kilo Mortais , Dr. Younan Nowzaradan—or simply Dr. Now—became a leading figure in the fight against morbid obesity. Born in Tehran in 1944, the bariatric surgeon starred in eight seasons of the TLC show between 2008 and 2020, totaling more than 100 episodes that captivated millions of viewers.

A surprising makeover

Dr. Now at 80 with a new look and practicing medicine in Houston
Dr. Now, recognized by Quilos Mortais, remains active at age 80 in his Houston clinic and shows a remarkable physical change.

His current appearance is a far cry from what he displayed on television: he left behind his signature black mane and today appears with thinner hair, partially bald and a completely gray cavanhaque, a sign of a different but equally active stage in his professional life.
