Russian authorities reported Thursday the launch of several cruise missiles toward the Sea of Japan, also known as the East Sea, as part of a series of military maneuvers that also included the use of drones.
The country's Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the missiles used were Kalibr and Uran, both launched from the frigate Shaposhnikov, and specified that the targets were successfully hit.
"The maneuvers were carried out by ships of the Russian Pacific Fleet with the assistance of the Air Force and Army drones," the Ministry noted.
Thus, it has published a series of images of the frigate and the launch of these missiles in an attempt to show greater strength as the invasion of Ukraine progresses.
