Spanish tennis player Roberto Bautista Agut was eliminated on Wednesday in the round of 16 of the ATP 250 hard-court tournament in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, after losing 6-4, 6-3 to Hungarian Márton Fucsovics.
Bautista, currently ranked 47th in the world, missed a break point in the sixth game (3-3) and lost his serve in the ninth (5-4), his only break point opportunity. Despite this, the Castellón native started the second set by holding serve at love and then saved a 30-40 deficit in the fifth game (2-3), but Fucsovics came back.
The Hungarian won the next service game and broke Bautista's serve immediately afterward, consolidating his advantage in the eighth game (5-3) and again achieving a break that certified the victory in Fucsovics' favor after one hour and 35 minutes.
