MADRID, 14 (EUROPA PRESS)

The Madrid City Council's Tourism Department, headed by Almudena Maíllo, is once again promoting Madrid's tourism offerings at the Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas (United States), considered the largest event for the global network of high-impact travel agencies, the City Council announced in a statement.

This event brings together more than 6,000 premium tourism service providers and agents from around the world. It is part of "Madrid Turismo by Ifema," a joint project between the City Council, the Community of Madrid, and the exhibition centers.

Almudena Maíllo, City Councilor for Tourism, emphasized that "being present at Virtuoso Travel Week allows Madrid to position itself as a high-impact tourism destination."

For Maíllo, "this is where great opportunities arise to attract travelers seeking quality and unique experiences, while providing high added value to the city." He also highlighted that "a Virtuoso tourist spends an average of €12,867 in Madrid, 3.9 times more than the average international tourist."

Yesterday, the capital hosted the "Under One Sky" event, a presentation of the Madrid destination aimed at all members of this sustainability community. The event highlighted the city's commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism in all three aspects: economic, social, and environmental.

SUSTAINABILITY STUDY

During the session, which provided an opportunity to showcase the capital's latest developments and continue positioning it as a global benchmark for high-impact tourism, the development of a joint project between Madrid and Virtuoso for a sustainability study was announced.

The Madrid office is also developing a comprehensive professional agenda that includes four days of workshops with more than 100 pre-arranged meetings with Virtuoso agencies, as well as training sessions, professional development, and conferences.

For the first time, Madrid has had a dedicated area at Virtuoso Travel Week, a meeting point where consortium members can receive personalized information about the capital and generate new opportunities for collaboration.

This space is promoting 'Madrid Unique Destination,' the High-Impact Product Club created by the City Council. It brings together Madrid's main assets in this segment to promote the creation of new specialized tourism products that enhance the visitor experience in the city.
