Teletón 2025 was launched in Salto with the support of authorities and volunteers.

This Wednesday, the city of Salto hosted the official launch of Teletón 2025, under the slogan "From Heart to Heart." The national event will take place on November 7 and 8, with a 25-hour television broadcast that will seek to once again mobilize Uruguayans in support of children and adolescents attending rehabilitation centers.

The event brought together leaders from the Municipality, community leaders, and volunteers, who highlighted the tradition of solidarity among Salta residents in this type of campaign. The Director of Social Development, María Eugenia Taruselli, reaffirmed that the departmental government fully supports the initiative and emphasized the importance of maintaining spaces for collective cooperation.

The president of the local organization "Sueños Compartidos – Niños Teletón Salto," Marisa Gaite, praised the support received and indicated that, with this support, the city will resume mass activities in plazas and public spaces , where mothers, volunteers, and neighbors will be able to actively collaborate.

On behalf of the Teletón Foundation, Gustavo Brea stated that Salto was chosen as the first stop on the tour that spans the interior of the country. He highlighted the community's enthusiasm and noted that the funds raised during the broadcast represent nearly 95% of the institution's annual income.

Meanwhile, Cristina García stated that more than 5,800 children are currently receiving care at the centers in Montevideo and Fray Bentos, of which approximately 150 are in Salto. She noted that this year's goal is to exceed the 142,800,000 pesos raised in 2024, and emphasized that the goal goes beyond the economic : it is about moving toward a more just and inclusive society.

The closing ceremony was led by the Secretary General of the Municipality, Mr. Walter Texeira Núñez, who described the Telethon as a symbol of hope and commitment for Uruguayan families. He called on the public to join the November event and reaffirmed the institutional support for the campaign.

With this event, Teletón 2025 was officially launched in Salto , once again renewing the invitation to solidarity from all Uruguayans.
