MADRID, 15 (EUROPA PRESS)

A 20-year-old man was killed and another person was injured this Friday in southern Sweden in a shooting outside a mosque in the town of Orebro, local police confirmed. The incident is currently viewed as a settling of scores between criminal gangs, unrelated to the religious significance of the site.

The first notice of the incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. and prompted the deployment of security forces and emergency services to the scene, Orebro Police reported on its X social media account.

"A man in his 20s died from his injuries. His next of kin has been notified," police said, describing the incident as "related to a criminal network."

"The investigation now includes one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, and aggravated weapons offenses," Orebro Police added.
