This Friday, the departure operation for the August long weekend continues, with airlines scheduling a total of 28,134 flights at Aena airports. 6,960 of these flights will take place on August 15th, a national holiday, with 119 fewer flights than on the same Friday last year.
Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, which saw its highest volume of flights between yesterday and next Sunday, has 1,171 flights scheduled for today, 21 more than last year (16, therefore not a holiday).
At Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, there will be 1,063 flights throughout this Friday, 19 more than last year, while at Palma de Mallorca Airport, the third largest airport in terms of volume of operations, there will be 968 flights, 80 fewer.
At Málaga-Costa del Sol, 593 flights are scheduled for this Thursday, 35 more than in 2024, while at Ibiza Airport, 405 takeoffs and landings are expected, 43 fewer.
