MADRID, 21 (EUROPA PRESS)

Deportivo de la Coruña and Racing de Santander are looking to build on their strong debuts in the competition on Matchday 2 of LaLiga Hypermotion against Burgos and Albacete, respectively. These two teams also impressed in their league openers.

Deportivo de la Coruña and Burgos face each other this Sunday (5:00 p.m.) at Riazor Stadium in a clash between two of the teams that played the best football in their league debut. Both sides secured convincing victories, which has allowed them to move into the top four of the standings for the Galicians, and to become the first leader of the season for the Burgos side.

Antonio Hidalgo's team surprised Granada with their combination play at Los Cármenes and now, in their first home game, they're looking to continue that attractive approach. However, they'll face a Burgos side that showed no mercy against Cultural Leonesa, thrashing them 5-1. This test underscores Luis Ramis's team's excellent preseason, in which they remained unbeaten.

Meanwhile, Racing de Santander, another team that had a great start to the competition, will visit the Carlos Belmonte stadium this Monday to face Albacete, who earned a creditable 4-4 draw in Almería on Matchday 1. It will be a demanding test for the Cantabrians, who, after last season's setback, are looking to establish themselves as one of the top contenders for direct promotion.

For the La Mancha team, their strong performance against one of the best LaLiga Hypermotion teams, UD Almería, has raised expectations, and against a rival considered to be at the top in Racing, they could reinforce their strong start. Furthermore, the home side has not lost to the Cantabrians in any of their last four matches at the Carlos Belmonte stadium—two wins and two draws.

In addition, two other major promotion contenders will play on Friday: Real Valladolid and Leganés. The Valladolid side will visit Castellón, while the pepineros will host Cádiz at Butarque. Both sides managed to secure three points on the opening day, and another consecutive win would allow them to remain at the top of the table. However, Leganés will play against a Cádiz side that looked very solid in their 1-0 home win over Mirandés.

Also of note is the visit of Sporting de Gijón, who came from behind to beat Córdoba at El Molinón on Matchday 1, to Ceuta, where they will return to play a professional home game almost six decades later. In addition, UD Las Palmas, the only recently relegated team that failed to win in its debut, will visit the always difficult Nuevo Arcángel to face a Córdoba side that deserved more in its debut.
