The transfusion medicine system in the east of the country is going through one of its most acute crises after an administrative decision that has generated outrage on the political and professional spectrum. Jorge Curbelo, the doctor who led the Maldonado Hemocenter Since its founding almost two decades ago, he was removed from his position by direct order of ASSE.
