ADEOMS and the approach to job stability

municipal employees ' union put three central issues on the table: job security for the 292 workers in question, the daily working conditions they face, and the need to ensure formal spaces for institutional dialogue.

The presentation was officially received by the Salto Departmental Council , which announced that the proposal will follow the corresponding procedures according to current regulations. The gesture, although formal, was interpreted as a necessary step amid the tension between the departmental government and the union.

In any case, the authorities emphasized that the Board's role is to listen, receive concerns, and forward them to the appropriate authorities. "Democracy is strengthened when institutions act as bridges between citizens and their concerns," they stated after the meeting.
