The Frenchman 'Biotherm', skippered by Paul Meilhat, has remained in perfect position in the overall standings of The Ocean Race Europe after earning all available points in the three scoring opportunities of Leg 2, the longest leg of this nautical event, this Saturday in Cartagena.
Thus, Meilhat's boat earned 16 points on this leg: two at the Needles Scoring Gate, seven at the Matosinhos Fly By, and another seven at the finish in Cartagena; and now sits firmly at the top of the standings, ahead of Paprec Arkéa and Holcim PRB, its final podium partners for the second leg.
Four other boats remained in the water mid-Saturday, with the Italian team Allagrande Mapei Racing narrowly ahead of the German team Malizia, while further back were the Canadian team Be Water Positive and the Swiss-Saudi team Amaala.
