On August 13, 2025, an operation by the National Customs Directorate and the Salto Police resulted in the seizure of a Volkswagen Saveiro vehicle and a shipment of 6,817 Brazilian chicken eggs. The merchandise lacked legal entry documentation and was classified as contraband.
Among those identified in the procedure was a National Party leader who had already made headlines in recent days for refusing to take a breathalyzer test at a police checkpoint.
The repeated incidents raised alarms within the departmental administration. Sources indicated that the municipality should carefully consider the profiles proposed for positions of trust, in order to safeguard the reputation of a government that seeks to honestly carry out the task entrusted to it by its citizens.
Given this scenario, the appointment of the person involved in the Youth area was ruled out, and another profile was chosen to ensure the continuity of policies for young people in Salta.
With these decisions, the departmental government seeks to maintain transparency and prevent individual incidents from tarnishing the image of an administration that presents itself with a vocation for service.
