Minimum wage in Uruguay 2025: current amount and upcoming adjustments

Since January 1, 2025 , the National Minimum Wage (SMN) in Uruguay is $23,604 per month, representing a 6% over the previous value This adjustment places it above the annual inflation rate of 5.4% in 2024.

The SMN is used as a reference for:

  • Calculate the daily wage (dividing by 25).
  • Calculate the hourly wage (dividing by 200).
  • Determine contributions, fines and social benefits.
