MADRID, 14 (EUROPA PRESS)
BBVA has deployed its global data platform (ADA) in Mexico and Colombia, which it hopes will "accelerate the bank's ability to offer personalized and relevant products and services to its customers," it announced in a statement.
The platform is cloud-hosted and built with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies. At the end of last year, it completed the migration in Europe and Uruguay, as well as the investment banking, holding, and data architecture and engineering business areas.
Thanks to this data platform, the bank has managed to reduce information access times from several days to less than 10 minutes, according to BBVA. "This operational efficiency has contributed to a cost reduction of up to 40% compared to other traditional platforms, optimizing the bank's resources," he noted.
The platform currently manages 8.4 petabytes of data (8.4 million gigabytes) and serves 6,500 advanced users, including data scientists and engineers, along with more than 40,000 daily BBVA users.
