MADRID, 19 (EUROPA PRESS)

The high-speed train line between Madrid and Galicia will remain closed throughout today due to the fires near the tracks in Galicia, according to the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente.

The previous forecast indicated that the line would remain closed until at least midday, but with no significant changes in the progress of the fires, train service will remain suspended.

"There are no significant changes regarding the possibility of using the Madrid-Galicia high-speed rail line. Therefore, today we will continue as usual, and everything indicates that tomorrow, during the first of the three time periods into which we have divided the day to make cancellation decisions, there will also be no service," the minister explained on Twitter.

However, Renfe has added a third special service between Madrid and Zamora, a service it has provided exceptionally well in recent days.

Thus, special trains depart from Madrid to Zamora at 7:14, 1:20, and 8:23 p.m., while in the opposite direction they depart at 8:40, 2:36, and 10:00 p.m.

Renfe reminds travelers that they can cancel or change their tickets free of charge, and thanks users for their understanding.
