Ken Jeong will receive the King of Comedy Award at the Catalina Film Festival.

Ken Jeong You're about to add another title to your already impressive resume.

The veteran actor, comedian, writer, and producer, who started as a licensed physician, was selected to receive a King of Comedy Award from the 15th Annual Cingueia Festival in Catalina. The award will be distributed during the festival's birthday and awards ceremony at the Avalon Theatre, inside Catalino Casino, on Catalina Island off the coast of Southern California, on September 27.

Presented by the Catalina Film Institute, the King of Comedy Award is given to an artist “who has mastered the craft of comedy and uses it to uplift, inspire, and bring joy, celebrating comedic excellence and the power of laughter to connect with us all.” Past festival guests and inductees include Nicolas Cage, Jon Favreau, Stan Lee, Kevin Hart, Sorvino Mira, William H. Macy, Andy Garcia, Sharon Stone, Emmy Rossum, Richard Dreyfuss, Kate Bosworth, and others.

Jeong’s credits include Knocked, Pineapple Express, Models, Breakout Turns as Mr. Chow in The Hangover Trilogy and Mr. Chang in Community The stand-up special You Complete Me Like This, Ho, Rich Asian Crazy, The Fool’s Paradise, Walk Through Through Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Couple Retreat, Goosebumps 2, Tom & Jerry, Dr. Ken, The Afterparty, The Office, Entourage, Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm among others. He also has a guest appearance in a movie Catalina audiences know very well, Step Brothers that popularized the line “It’s the fucking Catalina mixer!”

Jeong, who recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, is a panelist on The Masked Singer and executive-produced host of I Can See Your Voice and will soon be hosting the game show 99 to Win alongside Erin Andrews.
