FC Barcelona receives approval from LaLiga's Medical Committee
MADRID, 13 (EUROPA PRESS)
FC Barcelona announced on Wednesday that it will register Joan García on Thursday after LaLiga's Medical Committee recognized Marc-André ter Stegen's injury as long-term.
"FC Barcelona reports that the LaLiga Medical Committee has determined that player Marc-André ter Stegen's injury meets the long-term criteria established by current regulations," the club said in a statement.
This way, Barça will be able to register Joan García, whom they signed this summer from Espanyol. "The club will proceed tomorrow to formalize the registration of the player Joan García immediately," the Catalan club added.
Joan Laporta's team thus resolved its goalkeeping problem, which, in addition to not having its new goalkeeper registered, sparked a war between captain Ter Stegen and the club. The German goalkeeper ultimately agreed to allow the club to process his release and facilitate the option of registering Joan.
