Iranian authorities boasted about their arms industry on Wednesday, warning that the new missiles they have developed will be used against Israel if it "undertakes another adventure" like the one just a couple of months ago, when there was a twelve-day exchange of airstrikes.
"We have manufactured and possess missiles with capabilities far greater than previous missiles, and if the Zionist enemy undertakes another adventure, we will undoubtedly use them," said Iranian Defense Minister Amir Nasirzadeh.
He emphasized that the missiles used in the recent confrontation with Israel were manufactured "a few years ago" by the Iranian military industry, which "did not depend at all on foreign resources" for protection.
"Everything used in the war was manufactured by the country's defense industries. The world saw how the missiles completely hit their targets and caused severe damage to the Zionist enemy," he noted, according to IRNA.
Nasirzade stated that not even the "Zionist regime's media censorship" could hide the impact of Iran's attacks during those days and stressed that not even the much-vaunted Iron Dome, which Israel boasts, was able to stop the vast majority of Iranian missiles.
Thus, after Israel only avoided 40 percent of Iranian missiles in the initial stages, in recent days, "90 percent" of the projectiles hit their targets. "It clearly demonstrated that our experience had increased and their defenses had decreased," he said.
Nasirzade also highlighted that during those days, Iran not only confronted Israel, but also the United States and some Western and regional countries, who collaborated in defending the "Zionist regime."
"We relied on our own national capabilities due to illegitimate US sanctions," Nasirzade recalled, criticizing Israel for targeting civilian and scientific facilities and industrial centers, while Iran fired on military bases and intelligence centers.
That exchange of bombings, which began on June 13 and lasted for twelve months, involved the United States, attacking three nuclear facilities. Around 1,000 people died, almost all of them on Iranian soil.
