A crime that moves Maldonado
An extremely violent incident shook the city of Maldonado this Tuesday. A man murdered his 11-year-old daughter and then attempted suicide, leaving her in critical condition. The incident occurred near the Maldonado City Center, as the girl was leaving a specialist appointment.
According to Maldonado Police Chief Víctor Trezza , the man shot the minor three or four times, causing her immediate death, and then shot himself in the head.

According to preliminary investigation data, the girl had attended a medical appointment accompanied by her father. Upon leaving the health center, the man pulled out a firearm and shot her at point-blank range. Eyewitnesses quickly alerted authorities, as the attacker collapsed after attempting suicide.
The perpetrator was rushed to a health center, where he remains in critical condition.
