MADRID, 14 (EUROPA PRESS)
High-speed rail service between Madrid and Galicia will remain suspended until further notice due to the ongoing forest fires burning across much of Castile and León and Galicia.
"With the safety of passengers as a priority, as well as that of the emergency services working to extinguish the fires, Adif will keep the rail service suspended until the firefighting management, primarily in Zamora and Ourense, authorizes the passage of trains with full safety guarantees," Renfe explained in a statement.
This decision comes after three days of service cuts on this line, carried out at the request of the Fire Department and Civil Protection, and motivated by the fires in Ourense and Zamora.
