Elon Musk announces the launch of Grok 3, the "smartest AI on the planet," for this Monday.

Business magnate Elon Musk announced this Sunday that the launch of Grok 3, the third generation of the artificial intelligence model that powers the chatbot of the same name, will take place next Monday, on which day a practical explanation of how it works will be given.

"Grok 3 launch with live demo Monday night at 8 PM PT. The smartest AI on the planet," the billionaire announced in a brief message posted on his account on the social network X.

Following the announcement , Musk noted that there are still some details to be finalized and that he will spend the rest of the weekend "perfecting the product with his team." "I'll be offline until then," he concluded.

Grok 3, previously described by the mogul as "frighteningly intelligent", is the improved version of Grok 2, the most advanced model currently available, which introduced improvements in areas such as chat, coding or reasoning and added the ability to generate images on the social network X.

This announcement comes after OpenAI, the artificial intelligence company that owns ChatGPT, formally rejected the $97.4 billion (approximately €92.8 billion) purchase offer submitted by a group of investors led by Elon Musk himself.
