Manini Ríos came out in support of Álvaro Perrone after a controversial vote in the House of Representatives and took aim at sectors of the Coalition.

Following internal criticism, Manini Ríos publicly defended Perrone and accused those who questioned his actions in the Chamber of Deputies of being hypocrites.
Former senator and Cabildo Abierto representative, Guido Manini Ríos, published a message on the social network X this Wednesday, in which he responded to criticisms leveled against Congressman Álvaro Perrone, following his role in the vote on the Accountability Report.
Perrone, a legislator for Cabildo Abierto, voted alongside the Frente Amplio party for a clause that allowed for an increase in public debt. The decision sparked anger in parts of the governing coalition, with some members even comparing him to "Judas."

Given this scenario, Manini used his social media accounts to support his fellow party member and target the sectors that questioned the vote. In his post, he wrote: "The same people who criticized us for not honoring the Communist Party on its centenary are posing as intransigent opponents and fighters for democracy."
The lobby leader also recalled other situations in which, according to him, some members of the coalition did not support his proposals: "Those who did not change the curricula that distort our children's minds, those who defend and campaign for gender ideology, those who allowed revenge for the recent past to continue, those who negotiate embassies, those who promote drugs, etc."
At the end of the message, he pointed out directly: “Cynics and hypocrites ,” and noted that “they never dared to confront the dissolving advance of society.”
The statements came amid renewed tension within the ruling party, just over a year before the national elections.
The same people who criticized us for not honoring the Communist Party of Chile (PCU) on its centenary, those who didn't support the secret ballot and the non-retention of union dues, those who didn't change the curricula they distort, pose as intransigent opponents and fighters for democracy...
