MADRID, 21 (EUROPA PRESS)
Plenitude will be the main sponsor of La Vuelta 25 for the fourth consecutive year, and will also once again be the event's official Energy Partner, enabling the charging of the electric vehicles used by La Vuelta organizers who accompany the peloton and race management teams along the route, throughout the competition.
To commemorate its 90th anniversary, La Vuelta 25 will begin in Italy for the first time in its history before traversing France and Spain, covering a total of 3,151 kilometers in 21 stages. The race will begin on August 23 in Turin and conclude on September 14 in Madrid.
Plenitude will continue to sponsor the white jersey, which is awarded to the highest-placed cyclist under 26 years of age in each stage. "This sponsorship also reaffirms Plenitude's values: commitment, dedication, perseverance, and passion," the company emphasized in a statement. Additionally, Óscar Freire, three-time world road cycling champion and winner of seven stages of the competition, will once again serve as Plenitude's ambassador during La Vuelta 25.
To mark the competition, Plenitude will launch an editorial project on its international social media channels, conceived as a true electric car travel diary. Every kilometer traveled in an electric vehicle will become an opportunity to showcase Plenitude's role in the countries where La Vuelta 25 takes place.
The campaign will kick off in Turin with the Volpiano solar plant and dedicated electric car charging stations. The journey will continue through France, where, thanks to the Plenitude On The Road app and the local electric vehicle charging infrastructure available on the app, it will be possible to take breaks during the race and recharge vehicles. Finally, in Spain, the public will be able to learn more about wind energy through content about the Numancia, Raposeras, Ponteceso, Barrigosso, and Outes wind farms.
