CaixaBank customers made 100.7 million mobile payment transactions last June, representing a 34.4% increase compared to the same month last year, according to a statement.
In this way, the entity achieves a record number of mobile payment transactions and an "expanding" customer base.
The bank also highlights that over the past 12 months, the number of mobile payment users has grown by 15.3%, reaching 4.85 million, while the number of cards enrolled in digital devices has increased by 12.4% and now exceeds 7.3 million.
Thus, 38% of card purchases are now made through mobile devices and wearables, a figure the bank expects to continue to increase significantly in the short term.
