Bradley Cooper, Will Arnett's film gets a release date

Bradley Cooper's next feature Is This On? has received a holiday season release date in the Privilege Spotlight Photos .

The film hits theaters on December 19 New York Film Festival debut Will Arnett , Laura Dern Cooper, Andra Day, Sean Hayes, Amy Sedaris, and Ciarán Hinds.

Is this on? Alex Centers (Arnett) and Tess (Dern), who are trying to navigate divorce while Alex changes his career to pursue a life as a confessional stand-up comedian in New York City. The life of British comedian John Bishop inspired the film's story.

Cooper directed the feature from a script he co-wrote with Arnett and Mark Chappell. Producers include Cooper, Arnett, Weston Middleton, and Kris Thykier.

Is this on? Check out the 2023 screening of Cooper's Conductor, which he also co-wrote and starred in with director and composer Leonard Bernstein. Netflix's seven Oscar nominations included nods for Cooper's performance and screenplay, as well as best picture.

Cooper, who had a cameo in the summer's Superman to his Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, made his directorial debut with 2018's A Star Is Born .

Arnett's recent credits include The Next Goal Wins and a voice role in the series Twisted Metal. He can be seen alongside George Clooney and Adam Sandler in the upcoming Netflix film Jay Kelly .

"This movie isn't a crisis in the middle of a catharsis in the middle of a kind of thing," Cooper told Vanity Fair on Is This On? "Sometimes you realize you're on the coast and you've lost your rudder and your north star in life, and that affects who's in your orbit."
