MADRID, 16 (EUROPA PRESS)
Spanish center María Araujo will play for Valencia Basket for the next two seasons, the orange club has confirmed, after passing her medical and physical examination, as well as cardiology and stress tests this Saturday.
The 28-year-old, 1.82-meter-tall Galician center arrives in the capital of Turia from CIMSA CBK Mersin, where she spent the last two seasons competing in the Turkish league and the Women's Euroleague. In the continental competition, she reached the Final Four and faced Valencia Basket in the semifinals, ultimately winning the runner-up medal.
Araujo debuted at 15 and has played for several Spanish teams, including Celta Zorka, Baxi Ferrol, and Spar Girona. The center is now a regular on the Spanish national team, with whom she won her first medal this summer at the Women's Eurobasket, winning silver in the final against Belgium.
