Costa Adeje Tenerife unveiled Argentine full-back Milagros Martín, just 18, as its newest player on Thursday. She arrives on the island from South American football after recently participating in the Copa América Femenista with the Argentine national team.
After an event at the headquarters of Binter, sponsor of Tenerife Femenino, the player herself expressed her excitement. "I'm eager to learn, grow, and help Costa Adeje Tenerife achieve its goals. I'm a technical player who plays on the left wing. I know it will be a unique opportunity, and I'm very happy it's in Tenerife," expressed the new blue and white player.
Tenerife Femenino president Sergio Batista praised this addition. "Milagros represents the young talent we want to bring to the project. She has quality, character, and a track record that, despite her youth, is already very promising. We are confident she will adapt perfectly to the team and the island," he said.
Then the club's sporting director, Jordi Torres, spoke about his new signing. "She's a young full-back with great potential, defensive ability, and attacking depth. Her international experience has given her a degree of maturity that will be very beneficial to us," he commented.
With Martín's arrival, Tenerife "gained solidity at left back" thanks to a young player "already accustomed to competing at the highest level," according to the Tenerife club's website. "Her experience and recent participation in the Copa América fit with the club's ambition to approach the 2025/26 season as a solid, competitive team with a vision for the future," the same statement concluded.
