Argentine player Fede Redondo, 22, will play for Elche CF for the next few seasons after signing a contract until June 2030, following the Alicante club's agreement with Inter Miami, the player's previous club.
"Elche Club de Fútbol and Inter Miami have reached an agreement for the transfer of Federico Redondo, who becomes a new Franjiverde player and signs a contract until June 2030," the Elche club announced in a statement.
Federico Redondo Solari, born in Madrid in 2003 but a U-23 international with Argentina, is an Argentine midfielder who began his professional career at Argentinos Juniors, a club where he made his debut in 2022 and where he quickly established himself as one of the emerging talents in South American football.
The son of former Argentine soccer player Fernando Redondo, he signed for Inter Miami of Major League Soccer in the United States in 2024, gaining international experience and a team with which he played in the last FIFA Club World Cup.
Elche praises their new signing for his "tactical intelligence, passing accuracy, class, and ability to balance the team." "He's a pivot with great vision, combining judicious distribution with remarkable recovery ability," the club stated.
