A work accident in Salto left a worker injured.
A 29-year-old worker was injured Wednesday morning in Salto after two pallets of ceramic tiles fell on him while he was working at a construction site.
Fallen ceramics and first aid
The incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. at a construction site located at the intersection of Rodó and Batlle avenues. According to the medical report, the worker suffered blows to the lower back and chest, although he did not have any cuts. The shelf holding the materials suddenly gave way, causing him to fall.
Immediate assistance and transfer
Coworkers and police officers provided first aid until an ambulance arrived. The worker was stabilized at the scene and is out of danger , according to official sources.
