Broad Front councilwoman Catalina Correa made statements on Arapey radio that rekindled the internal controversy within the Salto Broad Front. She maintained that the Adeoms board and then-mayor Andrés Lima authorized employment contracts in the municipality that did not comply with current legal mechanisms. According to her, these were irregular hirings in an electoral context that now jeopardize the very workers involved.

Correa stated that Adeoms is a legitimate tool for union defense and that no one disputes the right of public employees to organize. However, she emphasized that the fact that job permanence is based on what she defined as "ill-gotten gains" cannot be normalized. For the councilor, the irregularity lies in the origin of the contracts and the way they were granted.

According to statements made by Correa, the officials who joined at that time did not do so through established channels such as competitions or lotteries. Correa maintained that most of them responded to political influences and that the appointments occurred in the midst of the election campaign, something he believed was no coincidence.

The accusations weren't limited to former Mayor Lima. The councilwoman directly targeted the Adeoms leadership during that period and questioned union responsibility. "Where was the Adeoms board when all this was happening?" she stated, in a tone that marked her criticism. For Correa, union leaders knew what was happening and exposed workers to a situation of vulnerability that is now backfiring.

Correa's central argument lies not in union defense but in the source of income. He emphasized that the contracts and budgets awarded in this context were a political maneuver that compromises institutional transparency and generates future conflicts.

Correa's intervention opens an internal front within the Salto FA. The councilor was the departmental president of the political party, and her remarks reopen a sensitive discussion: the line between legitimate union action and the use of the municipal apparatus to reinforce partisan strategies. The criticism also resonates in a context in which the ties between mayors' offices and unions have been the subject of national debate.

This episode also highlights the need to review hiring procedures in the mayor's offices. Correa insisted that the legal route is through open competition and transparent lottery, and that straying from these mechanisms erodes the credibility of both the union and the authorities. The warning, in short, is that the decisions made at that time left consequences that now fall on the affected workers.

The discussion surrounding Adeoms and Lima marks a point of tension in local politics. For the internal opposition, it is a reminder of the practices the Broad Front needs to abandon if it seeks to regain public trust. For the departmental ruling party, it is a direct attack on an administration that still maintains influence in Salta's political landscape.
